Psalm 119: 41-48

Seven Characteristics of abiding in Christ

  1. SALVATION – v. 41
    1. Salvation is work of GOD, by God, for God, and to God
  2. SECURITY – v. 42-43
    1. Our security rests in the FAITHFULNESS of God
  3. OBEDIENCE – v. 44
  4. SPIRITUAL LIBERTY – v. 45
    1. Sin always results in the loss of FREEDOM.  It always robs us of our freedom.
  5. BOLD WITNESS – v. 46
    1. God will give us great POWER to be His witnesses to the world
  6. WORSHIP – v. 47-48
    1. True worshipers worship God out of great RESPECT and REVERENCE
  7. REFLECTION – v. 48
    1. Thinking on the Word of God GROWS us in Christ
