Genesis 1:26-31

• Man is CREATED
• Man is created in the IMAGE OF GOD
• Man is created with PURPOSE

Man is created:

• Only man is directly given the BREATH OF LIFE from God Himself
• This act establishes a PERSONAL relationship between God and man
• God’s relationship with mankind is UNIQUE in all of creation
  • Psalm 139:13-18

Man is created in the image of God

• We possess the attributes of PERSONALITY like God does
• We possess the attributes of MORALITY
• We possess the capacity to KNOW GOD
  • Psalm 25:4-5
  • Philippians 3:10
  • John 17:3

Man is created with purpose

• Mankind is given the responsibility to GOVERN or to rule over creation
• Mankind is given the responsibility of REPRODUCING and filling the earth
• Mankind is given the responsibility to receive BLESSING

Every life will ultimately remain empty and void of meaning and purpose until we place our faith in the person and finished work of JESUS CHRIST.
