VBS Illumination Station Shining a Light on Who Jesus Really Is

Many people claim to know about Jesus — but so many are in the dark about who He really is. Some see Him as a historical figure, a good teacher, or a miracle worker. But He is so much more.

He is the perfect, proven, and powerful Son of God — the only One who can rescue us from sin and bring hope and light to a dark world.

This summer, SBC Kids invites your family to Illumination Station — the brightest week of the year. Anchored in John 8:12, where Jesus declares "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life," Kids will explore what the Bible really says about who Jesus is and why it matters for their everyday lives.

Each morning, kids will focus on Jesus at Spotlight Bible Study, bask in the colorful glow of sunlight at Suncatcher Rec, twirl in the glittering light of Mirror Ball Music, create at Kaleidoscope Crafts, enjoy Neon Snacks, and explore Glow-in-the-dark Missions. Every station is designed to show kids how light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals — and how Jesus is the Light who brings hope to a dark world.
